A BattleStick's universal joint has a flat base made for a flat-topped tiller. The Sunfish tiller is a round aluminum tube, so you need this saddle between them: it cradles the tube and gives the joint a flat face to screw to.
Fits round tillers 25 to 32mm (1 to 1 1/4 in) across. Needed with any BattleStick on a Sunfish; included in the Podium Kit.
