Sea-Dog 5 inch Deck Plate, Black (Inspection Port)

Sunfish hulls take on water through old fittings and the daggerboard trunk, and a boat with no inspection port has no way to dry out. A 5 inch port is the size most Sunfish carry, usually just aft of the splash rail or at the back of the cockpit, and it also lets you reach the back of the deck fittings when you rebed them.

Fitting one means cutting a hole in the deck, so this is a project, not a bolt-on: measure, cut with a hole saw or jigsaw, bed the flange in sealant, screw it down. ABS with a smooth quarter-turn cover.
